4. Board reviews the candidate’s submitted materials, responses to questions, and other documents and information collected regarding the candidate
5. Board interviews candidate via telephone (if not in the area)
6. If the Board determines that the candidate is viable, qualified, and fits the criteria, the Board will conduct an in person interview
7. If the Board decides to proceed with the candidate, the candidate will be invited to spend a weekend or other period of time at the church to preach, meet and talk with the Congregation, and answer questions from the Congregation
8. The Board will receive feedback from the Congregation after the candidate visits the church
9. If, based upon the Congregation’s input and the Board’s review of the candidate’s background and qualifications, the Board determines there is a match with MCC-DC, the Board will recommend to Rev. Ackerman that (s)he be appointed as Interim Pastor
10. Rev. Ackerman will begin the contract negotiations with the Interim Pastor
11. Once the contract is agreed upon, Rev. Ackerman will appoint the Interim Pastor
