Bible Study Highlights and Happenings
We have just completed week five of our exciting new Series based on the best seller, "The Shack" by William P. Young. We have had great discussions on questions such as: How do you need God to "greet" you? What did Jesus tell His disciples about "faith"? Pre-registration is not required for Bible Study. "Show up, be blessed and be a blessing!" If you are unable to attend the class, but would like a copy of each week’s class outline and personal reflections questions, you may contact Minister of Music Shirli Hughes st Shirli@mccdc.com for additional information.
Church Email List and Facebook Page
Would you like to be kept in the loop on upcoming church events and announcements? Join the church email list by sending an email to churchoffice@mccdc.com. MCC-DC is also on Facebook! To join our group, simply search for Metropolitan Community Church of Washington in Facebook. Both of these are great ways to keep in touch with what is happening at MCC-DC.
Children & Family Ministry
The Children and Family Ministry will be launching a new Sunday School program based on the VeggieTales bible stories. The program will be for children ages 3-12 and will be offered on 1st and 3rd Sundays during the 11am service beginning today. Children will begin the service with their families then proceed downstairs directly following the announcements. They will then rejoin the service for communion and the remainder of the service. We think the children will really enjoy this program. If you have questions about either of these events or the Children and Family Ministry, in general, please see Laura Miyoshi or Lori Wilson.
HIV+ People of Faith
Not your typical HIV+ support group: we meet every Monday at 7:00 pm in the church, not only to discuss the issues and challenges we face on a day-to-day basis, but also to explore the unique opportunities for growth that we have as HIV+ People of Faith. To facilitate our discussions, we draw on selected readings. For more information, please contact Matt Senger at (202) 546-2159 or email ndc20003@yahoo.com.
