Reverend Dr. Sandra Bochonok Writer, retreat leader, labyrinth facilitator, former nurse and US Navy Chaplain, Reverend Dr. Bochonok is the founding pastor of Soul Food Ministry, a special ministry of the Metropolitan Community Church of Washington, D.C. Originally ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church of America, she transferred into the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches in 1996.

Dr. Bochonok's ministry credentials include a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, 4 Units of Clinical Pastoral Education, a certificate in Group Spiritual Direction from the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, and her Doctor of Ministry degree from Wesley Seminary.

In her spare time she enjoys clogging, gardening, birding, lighthouses, hiking, cross-country skiing and sailing in the Pacific Northwest."
